Breaking News AI introduces participants to AI concepts and applications through targeted video training on selected AI tools. Working in teams as independent news organisations, participants create a "breaking news" broadcast, applying their AI knowledge in a real-world scenario.

Each team member selects a specialised role—scriptwriting, research, image/video generation, voice synthesis, editing, or producing—requiring expertise in specific AI tools. Using a provided brief and template, teams craft their news segment with access to essential AI resources.

Once completed, teams present their broadcasts and, if time allows, share insights on the tools used and challenges faced. A final debrief encourages reflection on key learnings, fostering continuous adaptation and growth in AI proficiency.
